T O P I C R E V I E WRobert PearlmanFor some time now, the entrance driveway to Space Center Houston on NASA Road 1 (NASA Parkway) has had what looked to be a sign installation underway. Today, the previously-installed pillars that might have held a sign took on a different appearance: (While waiting outside Space Center Houston last week for Leroy Chiao's post Expedition 10 event, we noticed the T-38 was missing from its usual parking spot near the ticket booths. It stands to reason that one of these two was that jet or it was traded for one.)pokeyI've had my eye on those droopy looking posts for quite some time. Was wondering what they were up to...Robert, now you need to take some pics of the ISS 'thingy' across the street from the T-38's (in the median of NASA Road 1) - during the day and when lit up at night. Robert PearlmanAnd here's the T-38s at night: PhilipGreat photos Robert !!!pokeyThanks Robert! albatron@aol.comHow much are they paying those guys sitting in the cockpits? Or are those astronauts who retired that cant command huge signing fees? Cheers (tongue in cheek of course)!ALDavidHI really like that last picture of the T-38s, by the way. In the daylight pictures, they look like airplanes on sticks, but in that last angle of the night pictures, they look more dynamic. Great photo, Robert.------------------ http://allthese worlds.hatbag.net/space.php "America's challenge of today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow." - Commander Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17 Mission, 11 December 1972dss65Very, very cool.------------------Don
