kosmo | Just wondering what cS members think of these autographs? |
DOX32 | Was this obtained at Waverly Rare book sale Falls Church VA recently? The signatures look familiar to me (I was there in person). Some of the signatures (Grisson and Shepard) are questionable to me, but I will let the experts opine. |
kosmo | Nope, this was not obtained at Waverly Rare book sale Falls Church VA, just trying to get peoples take on the signatures. "It's all in the mind you know." |
mjanovec | All seven signatures appear to be authentic. |
gliderpilotuk | I'd second that. |
Dougin SoCA | Very precisely arranged and grouped. Was this normal for such a signed book?

I think every vintage authentic signed copy of this book I've seen has the signatures stacked neatly like this. |
Dougin SoCA | When I did a Google search for one of photos of these signed books, most of the ones I saw were either missing various signatures, had added inscriptions, or the autographs weren't nearly as nicely organized and neatly done as this. Perhaps this particular example is one of the best ones. |
DChudwin | The signatures look good to me, and I agree this is one of the nicest I've seen. I would be very interested in the provenance of the book. |
kosmo | The only thing I know is that it was previously owned by a John C. Durand. I have no idea who this person is? |
spacehiker | Was this the same item that was on eBay around two weeks ago? |
PeterO | Comparing the signature page above with the eBay photo, it certainly appears to be the same book. |
