Since I see them all the time.These so-called "Space Medal" covers were made by German stamp and coin dealer Goede in the 80s I believe.
They only say that the medal "contains metal flown in spacecraft" but they don't say on which spacecraft!
Obviously in the 80s the MR-4 capsule was sleeping on the bottom of the ocean. Also there's a "Giotto-Halley" cover in that series which again would be "tough" to get flown metal from the Giotto spacecraft. ![](http://collectspace.com/ubb/smile.gif)
It is my personal opinion that none of these covers contain metal flown on the described flight or mission for obvious reasons. They may indeed include flown metal from a (to me unknown) spacecraft.
