How would I find out the value of this book signed by all 3? |

If your copy of "Genesis" is genuinely signed by all 3 Apollo 8 crew, there will be no shortage of people who will suggest a PRICE for it, but you might want to consider the VALUE. They aren't the same thing. I urge you to keep the book. The money might be handy now, but in 10 or 20 years, you'll be glad you kept it. |

I agree with BLACKARROW on this one. I think we've all been in the situation where we want to know what something is worth ( whether we actually want to sell or just would like to know a price ), and get someone telling us how much THEY will give us for it. They say everything has a price, but I still stick to the thought that if something is special to me, price doesn't matter. It will be in my collection for quite a while if not forever. While I would love to have a book like the one you described, I also feel it is yours and you should do as you wish. But if it ws me, I'd hang onto it. From The Last Frontier.......... Mike

Yeah, my daughter (it's her book) would never sell it, she informed me. She say's she will pass it down to her own kids some day, and tell them the story of the first 3 humans to ever leave this blue water-world we call Earth! She will pass on to them that she had the privilige and honor to meet these 3 pioneers in person and get autographs and pictures with all 3 (one of them in her own room!) The only thing that makes her really mad, is that it all happened before her time, and we haven't been back to the moon since Apollo. She finds that disgusting! (I concur) |

Yes the fact that we have not made it back to the moon does rank high on the "Lame List". It's also nice to hear that your daughter plans to pass the book down to her kids, and keep the dreams alaive! From The Last Frontier.......... Mike

I'm really glad to see that the signed "Genesis" will be passed down through the generations! If ever there was a human voyage of exploration to rival Apollo 11, it would have to be Apollo 8! |

I have a 1905 copy of Jules Verne's "From the Earth to the Moon" book that is signed on the title page by the Apollo 8 crew. It is one of my more prized items, and while I know it would bring a sizable sum, I just can't seem to part with it. The book is almost 100 years old !!James |
