I see there is a company called Canaveral Tours that offers trips to the Cape and Hanger C, plus LC-5 and 26. Anyone have any updates on the tours? |

I see that there are two tours running out of the Sands Space History Museum. One is the Canaveral Tours Lighthouse and Spaceflight Premier tour and the other is the Space Shuttle Excursions tour. Has anyone taken one of these. Are they worth it? I was hoping to get out to some of the old launch pads e.g., Complex 34, but it seems like none of them go out there. |

The tours go to Hangar C/Lighthouse, LC-9/10, and the museum at LC-26*. Those are the only places available for touring and for only US citizens. As museum docent and an escort for either tour operator, I am not going make a recommendation. *LC-5/6 is not on the tour. |

One tour specifically advertises visiting 5/6 complete with photos. Has something changed recently? The other one suggests it may be a custom request though it is not clear. Curious as to why it isn't allowed [for such tours] if so, as it is 'right there'. |

Sorry, since the 5/6 pad and blockhouse is only drive by, I tend to forget about it. The blockhouse interior is off limits since it is still owned by NASA and not the CCSFM. |
