Of note, this sale includes the collection of the late astronaut William "Bill" Thornton. Among the 60 lots, is one of only ten STS-8 complete crew-signed, middeck flown covers, given Thornton's adherence to NASA's policy that the crew not autograph any of the covers that were sold to the public. |

I have a question about Lot 6114 — Apollo 10 Flown Parachute Cloth and Suspension Lines - Signed by John Young. It's an amazing piece, I have not seen many parachute items listed before, which is strange given the amount of parachute material that could be available... the estimate appears strong at $8k. Is this typical for these items? Thanks! |

Lotted via Heritage in 2009 (realized $1673 inclusive of buyers commission). Concur 8K estimate may be a bit of a reach. |

Interesting Lot 6464 is a crew signed litho of Artemis II. I haven’t seen much of any recent crew signed items for this mission. |
