Watch the four members of NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 mission set off to return to Earth. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft will undock from the International Space Station at approximately 8:05 a.m. EDT (1205 UTC) on Wednesday (Oct. 7).

Per SpaceX, the three possible landing sites are off the coast of California near Los Angeles, Oceanside or San Diego.
Update: The splashdown is targeted for off the coast of Los Angeles.

Watching the Crew-12 undocking live coverage, viewers were shown impressive close-up shots of the ISS exterior as Dragon manoeuvred away.
Were they from its docking camera and has SpaceX permanently switched to colour? A black-and-white engineering camera, similar to the Russian Soyuz, was used on early Dragon missions.

Jessica Meir, Jack Hathaway and Andrey Fedyaev will discuss the Crew-12 mission during a news conference at 3:30 p.m. EDT (1930 GMT), Thursday, Oct. 15, at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. (Sophie Adenot will have already returned to the European Space Agency.)
