ISS Expedition 75: U.S. Spacewalk 98

Two Expedition 75 flight engineers will perform a six-and-a-half-hour spacewalk outside the International Space Station on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.

Astronauts Anil Menon of NASA and Sophie Adenot of ESA (European Space Agency) will finish replacing a space‑to‑ground antenna. They began the work on Aug. 18.

The Space-to-Ground antenna is a critical communication system NASA uses to transmit data and high‑speed communication between the Mission Control Center in Houston and the space station.

Menon will ride the Canadarm2 robotic arm to retrieve a spare antenna that Adenot will release from an external platform. Together, they will install the antenna on the Z1 truss segment above the station's Unity module.

The astronauts will then make the electrical and data connections needed to activate the spare antenna.

If time allows, Menon and Adenot will attempt a get‑ahead task to replace a retroreflector on the forward port of the Harmony module, which improves navigation data for visiting spacecraft.

The spacewalk will be the 283rd conducted in support of ISS assembly, maintenance, and upgrades. It will be the third for Menon and the second for Adenot.

Menon will serve as spacewalk crew member 1 and will wear a suit with red stripes. Adenot will serve as crew member 2 and will wear an unmarked suit.

All times are CT (US)
