Space 11 Appoints Former NASA Executive Dr. Camille Wardrop Alleyne to Global Space Advisory BoardAppointment expands Space 11's growing network of senior NASA leaders guiding its space initiatives
Space 11 today (March 18, 2026) announced the appointment of former senior NASA executive Dr. Camille Wardrop Alleyne as Strategic Advisor and member of its Global Space Advisory Board. The internationally respected aerospace engineer joins the company as it continues assembling a distinguished network of astronauts, scientists and space industry pioneers guiding its long-term strategy at the intersection of space exploration, advanced technology and media.
Dr. Alleyne brings nearly three decades of experience across NASA's most advanced human spaceflight and exploration initiatives. During her career she has held several senior leadership positions, contributing to the strategic direction of programs shaping the future of human space exploration and the commercialization of space.
Among her roles at NASA, Dr. Alleyne served within the Science Mission Directorate helping oversee a broad portfolio of missions spanning Earth science, planetary science, heliophysics and astrophysics. She also held leadership roles in initiatives focused on the future commercial economy of Low Earth Orbit and the moon and contributed to major exploration programs including the Orion spacecraft, designed to carry astronauts beyond Earth orbit to the Moon.
In addition to her government service, Dr. Alleyne is the Founder and CEO of Arusha Space, a company focused on developing artificial intelligence solutions and autonomous systems for space missions, and the founder of The Brightest Stars Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering young women to pursue careers in science, engineering and technology.
At Space 11, Dr. Alleyne will provide high‑level strategic advisory guidance to the Founder Andrea Iervolino, senior management and Board of Directors on space exploration strategy, aerospace program development and the convergence of space science with media innovation.
Dr. Alleyne joins Bert Ulrich, Executive Vice President of Production Development and Communications, who spent more than two decades at NASA as the agency's Multimedia Liaison to Hollywood, coordinating collaborations between NASA and major film and television productions. She also joins former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, who serves as advisor to the company's upcoming feature film project I See You, and former NASA Chief Scientist Dr. James L. Green, recently appointed Strategic Advisor to the Space 11 Global Space Advisory Board.
The company is currently developing the feature film I See You, an ambitious cinematic project set in space and conceived to incorporate scenes filmed in real microgravity conditions. The production aims to combine traditional filmmaking with footage captured during human spaceflight, offering an unprecedented level of realism in the depiction of life in orbit.
Dr. Camille Wardrop Alleyne stated:
"I'm honored to join Space 11's Global Space Advisory Board at such an exciting moment for the space sector. We are entering a new era where governments, private industry and new creative sectors are working together to expand humanity's presence beyond Earth. Space 11's vision of connecting space exploration with storytelling and global culture represents a fascinating frontier, and I look forward to contributing my experience to help support that vision."
Andrea Iervolino stated:
"Over the past weeks we have been bringing together some of the most extraordinary minds in the global space community, and the addition of Camille represents another important milestone in that journey. Her experience across human spaceflight, lunar initiatives and the emerging commercial space economy brings an exceptional level of expertise to Space 11 as we continue building projects that connect space exploration with storytelling and global audiences."
Bert Ulrich commented:
"Camille is one of the most respected leaders to emerge from NASA's modern era of exploration. Her experience across major spaceflight and commercialization programs gives her a unique perspective on where the space industry is heading. Her insight will be invaluable as Space 11 continues building projects that bridge real space exploration with global media."
