The question : Do you display your collection at home or at work ? Specifically, autographed photos ? Why or why not ?Personally, I do display them at home because I like seeing them. |

I have a, "Space Room." This is my little workshop where I do framing, study, someday paint again and just store my stuff. I have my Alan Bean stuff hanging in here, plus all of my framed stuff. This includes various Moonwalkers, X-15 and my D-558-2 signed pic. My signed books are on shelves and in some storage boxes. I keep the blinds drawn all the time, except when I am in the room.I also bought a curio cabinet for the acrylics. I have models of the X-1 and D-558-2 on display in there too. I plan on adding a couple more test planes to my model fleet this year too. Finally, I snuck about three other framed pieces in various other places around the house. (The Lindbergh print is hanging over the fireplace. At least until the day I finally light a fire in that thing!) But alas, there are only so many walls and most of my modest collection remains tucked away in drawers with archival storage sleeves. ------------------ Warm Regards Douglas Henry Enjoy yourself and have fun.... it is only a hobby! |

I put mine in binders. I have found a cheap and safe way to store them in uniform D-Ring binders using thin posterboard for support and acid-free plastic pages. I tape the pages shut making sure it does not touch the signed item. The autographed item is on the right page, and on the left is a brief information sheet I made about the person. I sort them alphbetically and by who they are associated with (basically American, Russian, or International). As far as desplaying goes, I currently building a web site with all my autographs on it. |

I have a room in my house that I use to store and display my collection. That's everything-photos, models, posters, etc. |

Since I work in the space field I've split items between my home office and work, with the nicer stuff at home obviously! However, I rotate things through my office collection which always generates some good discussion and from time to time, inspires a new collector.

Hello All... I freely display the gems of my collection without fear. I go to Staples and make a 99 cent color copy on card stock and display it framed without fear. The originals stay in my safe so if somebody steals a photocopy.....who really cares ? Plus sunlight never reaches my original !! Donald Brady |

I display my memorabilia in a room that has all of my aviation and space memorabilia displayed. I have a F-4 ejection seat fully restored and a mannequin dressed in full flight gear. My models are diplayed in curio cabinets. All of my autographs are in binders in acid free sleeves. However, I am starting to run out of room. I guess it's time to buy a bigger house |
