I have a 30-year-old six-pack of unopened Apollo Space Crafted Ale with brochures. It is space memorabilia and breweriana.

I would like to sell this but run into the issue of selling alcohol, even though no one in their right mind would drink this. How can I list this on collectSPACE to find a buyer? Thanks for any input. — Lloyd

Unfortunately, outside of Tennessee, there is no legal way to sell full (or partially full) alcohol containers even if marketing it for its collectible bottle. This is why eBay only allows empties.

For the protection of this site, we cannot allow the sale. If you choose, you could use a nail or pin to poke a hole at the bottom of each can and drain its contents. That would make it legal to sell and much easier to ship.

The only instance where I would recommend against that is for beers brewed in space (or made from space-flown ingredients) where the value is in the beer itself. In your case, it doesn't sound like the ale has any value.

(Tennessee, if you're curious, is the only state that has a specific "alcoholic beverage collector" license that allows individuals to sell commemorative/unique bottles of alcoholic beverages face-to-face.)
