I'm wondering why Jim Irwin's autograph is so cheap compared to the other moonwalkers?
My understanding is that he was the first moonwalker to pass and there is no scandal to harm his reputation, yet his autograph sells for a fraction of the 11 other moonwalkers. Sometimes I have received a free Irwin autograph with others in a bulk buy.
Then his autopen signed WSS goes for a thousand dollars (ok I get that because its rare), but hey. Please post your thoughts.

He was a very prolific signer.
For example, there is a series of Apollo anniversary covers produced by a British philatelic sales outlet: the Apollo 7 cover signed by Walter Cunningham was a limited edition of 200, as were many others. The Apollo 15 cover signed by Jim Irwin was a limited edition of 1000.

The price of Irwin signatures has always been of interest and is largely dictated by what it is he signed.
"His Love From The Moon" Apollo 15 lthos are plentiful and $200 to $300 a pop as a consequence. His signed book at $100 to $150 a pop is also plentiful. But an authentic uninscribed WSS ltho — $8000 to $9000.
I have heard that Jim was not a fan of his WSS portrait which may explain why signed examples are scarce.
