I purchased my Code 3 Collectibles' Alan Shepard Moon Shot model from a collector in America way back in 2007. I live in the UK and, in all this time, I don't think that I have seen one come up for sale. Maybe I have not been looking at the right auction sites? As I don't see them come up for sale could someone tell me please how much I would have to pay to replace it? I just need this figure for insurance purposes. Love the model so I have no plans to sell it. |

There was one sold at Heritage Auction in September 2024 for $400 with buyer's premium. I feel that was a little light and would say $500 is a better number. |

Generally speaking, replacement value is twice or sometimes even more than retail, as it includes the time and effort needed to locate another and any fees, shipping or other expenses incurred to do so. So for insurance purposes, you might want to list the model at $1,000. |

I would agree with Robert's assessment. These do not come up for sale often. I would need a $1K number to even consider selling the extra one I have. And to be clear, I believe the value is around the $500 area but for me to sell it would take a lot more than that number. |
