I have one of those in my collection.

Does anyone have an idea of what they originally sold for? I can't recall.

Thanks!

Joe Davies produced them about 20 years ago. They were close to $500 at the time.

Adding to Scott's reply, they were introduced on Jan. 30, 2003 for the introductory price of $395 each. The regular price was $475.

The original uncut 8-by-7-inch coldplate was sold by former Mascoutah Aerospace Museum in Illinois. According to museum agent James Fisher, the plate was removed after the Apollo 11 mission for testing. The plate was part of the museum's collection when it was sold.

Thanks for the info guys.

I didn't realize the original plate was only 7"x8". The production run couldn't have been very large.

It was a limited production run of no more than 100 pieces.
