Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Debuts New Artemis II Experiences Ahead of Historic Crewed Lunar Mission

As NASA prepares for the launch of Artemis II, the first crewed mission to journey around the Moon in more than 50 years, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will introduce "Artemis II: Pathway to the Moon," a series of never-before-seen, mission-timed experiences beginning March 28, 2026.

Offering guests an immersive look at the next chapter of human space exploration, the centerpiece of "Artemis II: Pathway to the Moon" will be a new Artemis II exhibition created by NASA's Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate. Located on the bottom floor of Space Shuttle Atlantis®, the exhibition explores the scale, complexity, and human story behind Artemis II and NASA's long-term lunar exploration goals.

Guests are invited to follow the mission's flight path, exploring the spacecraft, technologies, and teams making America's return to the Moon possible, while experiencing the Moon from the crew's point of view. Guests will also learn how states and industry partners across the nation are contributing to the Artemis mission.

Gravity will return the Artemis II astronauts to Earth, but curiosity invites visitors to go even further, through an immersive experience featuring the rare opportunity to touch real Moon and Mars specimens, connecting humanity's exploration past with its future.

Artemis II Exhibition Highlights Include:

• Awe-inspiring NASA displays featuring authentic Artemis hardware and mission elements
  
• An Artemis II crew showcase with personal items and inspirational stories
  
• Stunning large-scale models, including a 14-foot-diameter Moon replica
  
• A sneak peek at tools and spacesuits designed for future Artemis missions
  
• Interactive demonstrations that offer a hands-on sense of what it takes to be part of the mission

Journey To Mars Presentation Series

During Artemis II launch week, guests can expand their understanding of the mission through a series of presentations inside Journey To Mars. A series of 25-minute sessions will run hourly from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with six presentations offered daily.

Inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, guests can interact directly with commercial and industry partners supporting NASA's Artemis missions. Representatives will be stationed throughout the attraction, sharing insight into the engineering, innovation, and collaboration required to support human exploration beyond low Earth orbit.

These engagements provide an opportunity for guests to explore at their own pace while learning more about the organizations helping make Artemis possible. All "Artemis: Pathway to the Moon" activities are included with admission.
