Save the date: Open Day at ESA Headquarters, 20 September 2025Save the date! On 20 September, ESA headquarters will hold its first Open Day for the general public.

At this location – where tomorrow's space missions are decided – visitors will be invited to participate in various activities: attend conferences with space experts, take part in a simulation of the ESA Council to understand how ESA's missions are decided, and interact with specialists at an exhibition featuring models of probes, satellites, and launchers!
This event is part of the European Heritage Days, whose 2025 edition will focus on the theme of "Heritage and Architecture." Located in the 15th arrondissement since 1975, ESA headquarters were completely renovated in 2023, and visitors will be invited to climb the sweeping central staircase end explore the Council Room.
The Astrolabe, ESA's cutting-edge visitor centre offering a fun and hands-on introduction to ESA's activities, and the ESA space shop will also be open throughout the day.
As we celebrate ESA's 50th anniversary this year, this Open Day will highlight ESA's impact on Europe's prosperity, our technological leadership and our mission to inspire the next generation, with one clear goal: to elevate the future of Europe through the power of space.
