The Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum hosted a program for the 65th anniversary of U.S. human spaceflight, Alan Shepard Day, on May 5, 2026. The event, held in Hangar C, included a steak and eggs breakfast and remarks by Laura Shepard-Churchley, the late astronaut's eldest daughter (and Blue Origin suborbital astronaut).

Thanks to Jim Behling for sharing the program, which included this insignia on its cover. It is not known if it was reproduced in any other format.

Wonderful design! I wish I had known about the event, I would have loved to attend.

Looks pretty good compared to all the AI made Artemis patches seen on eBay. Just horrible.

I am not personally against AI-generated art, but I dislike results that could be easily fixed with a few follow-up prompts, for example the quilted stitching of the spacesuit.

To my eye there is far more wrong with that image than just the space-quilt. I will not waste my time enumerating them.

In my opinion, the only prompt I would like to see from an organization like this is, "Dear artist, we love your artwork and we would like to extend an offer for you to design our next emblem."

It might not cost as much as you may think. In fact, depending on the cause, some of us might do for free.

It was quick and easy and not meant for you or the public. It was for a private function and not an official CCSFM function.

Makes no difference to me. I stand by my words.

If anyone else finds themselves in want of an emblem, I would urge you to reach out to an artist as your first choice. If they’re like me, they would feel honored to be contacted and would be thrilled to add another space-inspired work of art to their portfolio.
