The Scripps Institution of Oceanography of University of California, San Diego has created an insignia in honor of alumna Megan McArthur flying on SpaceX's Crew-2 to the International Space Station.
The emblem, in decal form, is being given out this week to UCSD students.

NASA astronaut and UC San Diego alum Jessica Meir is embarking on her second journey to the International Space Station this week to serve as spacecraft commander for NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 mission! During the long-duration science expedition, she will live and work aboard an orbiting laboratory nearly 250 miles above Earth.
How cool is it that this out-of-this-world astronaut has UC San Diego roots?! While a graduate student in the marine biology program at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Meir researched the physiology of deep-diving animals. A trained scientific diver, she studied Antarctic emperor penguins both above and below the ice during four research expeditions to the remote, icy continent.
