Hayley Arceneaux is soon to become the first person with a prosthetic body part to enter space. She will be the youngest American to orbit Earth. And she may be the first astronaut to have shopped on Etsy to find some of her personal space gear.
As a member of the Inspiration4 crew, the 29-year-old bone cancer survivor and physician's assistant turned to the online marketplace for handmade goods to buy a miniature model of her space capsule. Arceneaux found the diminutive SpaceX Dragon spacecraft from a seller in southern California...

From Sian Proctor (via Twitter):
I've teamed up with Mango Skies Films to release my first short film called "Unpacking Space" — a look into my Inspiration4 mission through the unique things I brought with me to space.
We just submitted it to South by Southwest. Fingers crossed we get accepted!

Hayley Arceneaux just got married and shares the story behind her husband's ring...
I had a bolt from the Falcon 9 rocket that flew me to space made into my husband's wedding ring.
Here's the story — SpaceX gave me this plaque after my mission. After Ryan and I got engaged I got the idea for the ring and brought the bolt to a local jeweler. They said they couldn't melt it (not surprising that space hardware isn’t easy to melt).
I then brought it to the Memphis Metal Museum where a metalsmith was able to forge it into this ring. The ring is entirely made of the bolt metal. I also got a ring made for myself.
I was so happy to share this piece of me with Ryan, and he's thrilled with his ring.
