ISS Expedition 69: Russian Spacewalk 60 Two cosmonauts will conduct a spacewalk outside of the International Space Station to perform upgrades and retrieve equipment. Expedition 69 commander Sergey Prokopyev and flight engineer Dmitri Petelin, both of Roscosmos, are scheduled to exit the station's space-facing Poisk module at 10:45 a.m. EDT (1445 GMT) on Wednesday (Aug. 9). The primary objective of the spacewalk is to attach three debris shields to the Rassvet module. They also will test the sturdiness of a work platform that will be affixed to the end of the European robotic arm attached to the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module. Prokopyev will wear a Russian Orlan spacesuit with red stripes, while Petelin will wear an Orlan with blue stripes. This will be the eighth spacewalk for Prokopyev and the sixth for Petelin.
