Progress MS-11 departs space station Russia's Progress MS-11 spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station on Monday (July 29), backing away from the Pirs docking port at 5:44 a.m. EDT (1044 GMT). Loaded with trash, Progress MS-11 was directed to re-enter the atmosphere for a fiery demise over the Pacific Ocean.
Said goodbye to Progress 72 today to make room for 73P showing up on Wednesday. Caught this shot of it during reentry. It looked like a big firework that lasted minutes – flickering, sparking, and pulsing with brightness before it faded into the darkness.
