[b]Successful Launch of the X-ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM)[/b] The X-ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM) was launched onboard the H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 47 (H-IIA F47) at 8:42:11 a.m. on Sept. 7, 2023 (Japan Standard Time, JST) from the Tanegashima Space Center. The launch vehicle flew as planned, and it was confirmed that XRISM was successfully separated from the launch vehicle at about 14 minutes and 9 seconds after launch. We would like to express our profound appreciation for the cooperation of all parties involved in the launch of XRISM.
