Roscosmos State Corporation presents the emblem of the crew of the Soyuz MS-22 (Tsiolkovsky) manned spacecraft, which is scheduled to launch to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on September 21, 2022. The crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin, as well as NASA astronaut Francisco Rubio. The emblem of the crew is made in the form of a circle. In its upper part, the call sign of the crew - "Altai" and the state flags of the countries participating in the flight are applied. In the same field below, the names of the participants of the 68th expedition to the ISS are entered. The top half of the emblem features a stylized image of the station. In the lower half is an image of the Soyuz MS manned spacecraft. Even lower is the name and serial number of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, the direction of flight of which is directed towards the ISS. Below it is an image of the Earth. The ISS is surrounded by three stars, corresponding to the number of crew members on the ship. The swan symbolizes the crew commander, Colonel of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation Sergei Prokopiev, who flew the Tu-160 aircraft during his military service. Among Russian pilots, the aircraft was called the "White Swan". To the right of the three stars is a stylized image of a turtle, symbolizing the name of the 2017 astronaut set, Turtles, of which Francisco Rubio is a member. Next to the swan there is a figure in the form of a sail, formed by three arcs of circles, the radii of which are proportional to the radii of the three celestial bodies: the Earth, Mars and the Moon. This is the emblem of recruitment to the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, during which Dmitry Petelin was selected for the cosmonaut corps.
