[i]In total, Rocketdyne manufactured and delivered 98 production F-1 engines. A breakdown of the engine disposition is as follows: [list][*]65 engines were launched on S-IC stages [*]10 engines are on flight stages not launched [*]16 engines are either in storage or on display in a museum [*]2 engines are on the S-IC-D museum stage [*]2 engines are on the S-IC-T museum stage [*]3 engines were scrapped or consumed[/list] In addition, there were 2 engines (F-3T1 and F-4T2) that were manufactured by NASA as a learning exercise using spare parts. These engines are on the S-IC-T museum stage. Finally, there are 7 serialized mock-ups. Three of these engines are on the S-IC-D museum stage, one is on the S-IC-T museum stage, one was consumed and the other two are on display/in storage.[/i]
