It took ambitious contractor Mr. Cy Lo just three weeks to construct a replica Apollo capsule from a plastic water tank in his workshop in San Fransisco. He turned the container on its side and fitted windows and a hatch to the NASA-inspired treehouse, which was made entirely from recycled materials. Vegetable steamer trays were used as satellite dishes and Mr. Lo created a control center from used parts found in a buildings materials warehouse. He then decorated the exterior of the capsule with NASA livery and placed it on a platform in a tree. The whole project, including the wooden deck, took three weeks to complete and cost around £4,200 ($7,000).
