[b]China, Egyptian Space Agency signed agreements on cooperation in space[/b] On December 6, 2023, Director Zhang Kejian of the China National Space Administration and Director Sharif Sedji of the Egyptian Space Agency signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt on Space Cooperation and the Peaceful Use of Outer Space" in Beijing and "Cooperation Agreement between the China National Space Administration and the Egyptian Space Agency on the International Lunar Research Station." According to the cooperation document, the two parties encourage joint research and development cooperation in the fields of lunar and deep space exploration, spacecraft development and launch, aerospace infrastructure construction, satellite data reception and application, BRICS remote sensing satellite constellation, space science and astronomical observation, etc. Cooperation will be carried out in joint demonstration and research of international lunar scientific research stations, space missions, space systems and subsystems, space equipment, ground segments and applications, education training and capacity building. China and Egypt have achieved fruitful results in cooperation in the aerospace field. The Egypt-aided Satellite Assembly and Integration Test Center completed acceptance in June. The Egypt-aided Satellite 2 completed assembly and testing at the center and was successfully launched on December 4. The signing of a cooperation document in the aerospace field between China and Egypt will point out the direction for future aerospace cooperation between China and Egypt, and is of great significance for promoting the progress of China-Egypt aerospace science and technology and developing a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
