[b]Venezuela joins the international lunar project together with China[/b] A milestone in space research! This Monday (July 17), Venezuela and China signed a joint declaration to strengthen cooperation ties in lunar exploration. The Venezuelan delegation, headed by the sector vice president for Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, together with the president of the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE), Eng. Adolfo Godoy, has marked a new chapter in space research for the benefit of both countries. [b]A new stage in space research[/b] According to the words of Vice President Gabriela Jiménez, "this signing of the joint declaration represents a new stage in the meeting between Venezuela and China in the field of space research. Venezuela is proud to be invited once again to promote aerospace development in the country, and all cooperation efforts should be directed at training talent and advancing knowledge of deep space. It is an opportunity to develop engineering, renew knowledge and promote satellite developments that will benefit the Republic." [b]Bilateral cooperation in lunar exploration[/b] The signing of this joint declaration opens a door to a "change of era" in Venezuelan space research. Now, there is the possibility of participating in research projects at the International Lunar Research Station, which will be included in the National Science and Technology Plan. Venezuela ratifies its commitment to the peaceful use of outer space and reaffirms its brotherhood and solidarity with the Government of the People's Republic of China. The Chinese delegation highlights the importance of continuing to develop cooperation at different levels, promoting bilateral scientific research and knowledge sharing. [b]Contributions of Venezuela to lunar exploration[/b] As part of the agreement, Venezuela makes its satellite control ground station infrastructure available, which will allow it to accompany, follow and control space missions to send probes to the Moon. In addition, knowledge in the space field will be put into practice, including collaborative design, technical and operational cooperation, and data management and exchange. This represents a unique opportunity for mission planning, guidance and definition, as well as technology transfer and joint advances in lunar exploration. [b]President Maduro celebrated the signing of the Joint Declaration[/b] The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, enthusiastically celebrated the signing of the Joint Declaration for the development of the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) of the National Space Administration of China and the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE). During the tenth edition of his With Maduro + program, the national President highlighted the pride that Venezuela represents in partnering with the People's Republic of China in the project to explore the Moon. «Venezuela goes to the Moon, who would have thought? We are the first to partner in the project to go to the Moon with the People's Republic of China," said President Maduro. In this context, President Maduro thanked the Asian giant for consolidating the technological and scientific cooperation relationship. He recognized that Venezuela continues to advance in its goal of being at the forefront of the 21st century, actively participating in highly relevant space projects. This signing represents an important milestone for the country and strengthens cooperation ties in the peaceful use of outer space.
