Starliner undocks from space station Boeing’s Starliner "Calypso" undocked from the International Space Station at 6:04 p.m. EDT (2204 GMT) on Friday (Sept. 6). NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams closed the hatch on Starliner for the final time at 1:29 p.m. EDT (1729 GMT) on Thursday. The duo monitored the spacecraft’s departure as it backed away from the forward-facing port of the Harmony module, heading for an uncrewed landing about six hours later in New Mexico. Wilmore and Williams will remain aboard the station until February 2025 when they are scheduled to return to Earth aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft with Crew-9.
