[b]NASA's 60th Anniversary Celebration[/b] Sept. 22, 2018; 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Florida On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will celebrate six decades of NASA's leadership in space sciences and discovery. In 1958, Present Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the legislation that launched the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the agency opened for business on October 1 of that same year. Our mission at the visitor complex is to tell the NASA story. In celebration of NASA's 60th Anniversary, the visitor complex will host an after-hours dinner throughout the exhibits and attractions that highlight NASA's milestone programs. Ticket Inclusions: [list][*]A welcome signature drink, two alcoholic drink vouchers, appetizers, dinner, coffee and dessert served at various locations throughout the visitor complex. [*]Light show produced by renowned Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter. [*]A meet and greet with astronauts Fred Gregory and Mike Mullane. [*]Photo opportunities with NASA 60th sign and an astronaut, with complimentary printed and digital downloads. [*]Commemorative NASA 60th beverage tumbler and pin.[/list] The Evening's Journey: Check-in for the event begins at 6:30 p.m. The journey through NASA's 60 years is as follows: [list][*]Enjoy drinks and light appetizers in Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®, which highlights NASA's pioneering astronauts and their heroic character. [*]Watch the exclusive light show in the Rocket Garden, among authentic spacecraft from the Mercury, Gemini, Skylab and Apollo programs. [*]Eat dinner under the magnificent Space Shuttle Atlantis® and celebrate the accomplishments of NASA's Space Shuttle Program. Also, meet and mingle with veteran NASA astronauts Fred Gregory and Mike Mullane. [*]The future of deep space exploration comes to life in NASA Central, with a focus on the next spacecraft, Orion. Coffee and deserts are served. [*]End the evening with a glimpse of the new the Astronaut Training Experience®. Be sure to grab your commemorative gifts and photos before you leave!
