Four of the Mercury astronauts were juniors (had the same name as their father):
  • Leroy Gordon Cooper Jr.
  • John Herschel Glenn Jr.
  • Walter Marty Schirra Jr.
  • Alan Bartlett Shepard Jr.
I have an item where all four added Jr. to their signatures. Usually only Shepard added Jr.

Four of the Group 2 astronauts were juniors:
  • Charles Conrad, Jr.
  • James Arthur Lovell, Jr.
  • James Alton McDivitt, Jr.
  • Elliot McKay See, Jr.
...and two of the Group 2 astronauts were IIs:
  • Frank Frederick Borman, II
  • Edward Higgins White, II
