According to journalist Andrew Jones, the Shenzhou 21 launch is expected at about 11:40 a.m. EDT (1540 GMT) on Oct. 31, 2025.

China has confirmed the Shenzhou 21 launch for Friday (Oct. 31) at 11:44 a.m. EDT (1544 GMT or 1:44 p.m. Beijing time). The crew is:
  • Zhang Lu, commander
  • Wu Fei, flight engineer
  • Zhang Hongzhang, payload specialist
This is Zhang Hongzhang and Wu Fei's first spaceflight; Zhang Lu flew on Shenzhou 15.

China is expected to launch a Shenzhou-21 spacecraft from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, for the country's 16th crewed mission to space.
