I have a substantial collection of Mercury, Gemini and Apollo artifacts and autographs — orbital- and surface-flown flags, models, checklists, signed (uninscribed) photos, and more. I'm retiring and relocating within the next few months and looking to part with much of the collection.

Does anyone have recommendations for auction houses that specialize in space memorabilia? Given the size of the collection, I'd like to work with someone who can make the process as seamless as possible. Any firsthand experience or referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Heritage Auctions. I think they are based in Dallas.

I've no personal experience of selling a collection... but I have seen notable collections sold by them over the years.
