I recently inherited a box full of NASA memorabilia from a friend who's Dad worked at KSC for 35 years. With all the talk about autopens and secretary signatures I would like for someone to review my pics for a second opinion.

Please keep in mind that these signatures have been in a file cabinet for over 40+ years and they did not come from any auction or eBay. Thanks.

You have some excellent signed photos there. I would like to hear from someone more knowledgeable than I about the signed Friendship 7 party program. Some of the signatures are atypical, but perhaps signed in a hurry. The same program, signed by astronauts on that same night, was in a recent auction - can anyone remember which one so perhaps a comparison can be made?

I highly, highly recommend that you resist the urge to sell to someone who is inevitably going to send you an e-mail offering to take these off your hands for what sounds like an incredibly good price -- the Mercury 7 photo alone should sell in the $8000-10000 range in a good auction, if it is in as good a shape as it looks in the scan.

All very nice looking items -- I am not an expert authenticator, but they all look authentic to me.

I would recommend that you hold on to the collection, but if you elect to sell then you should consider consigning to an auction house that specializes in space memorabilia. There are several good ones.

Congratulations on a great inheritance!

In my opinion the Kurt Debus is a stamped signature. Another example can be seen here (at the site it is referred to as an autopen, but I believe it to be a stamp).

From what I can see here, all the others appear to me to be authentic. Very nice collection.

Scott, thanks for the rubber stamp discussion on Debus signature. I have several and will check to see if they are real or rubber stamp.

I know the Gemini 9 envelopes all are.

As always, Scott, good eye regarding the Debus! I missed that, which is why people don't pay me to authenticate items!

The John Young, Lovell, and the signed Mercury 7 photo all look good to me. Very impressive items.

I would hold on to them instead of selling them. Really neat treasures.
