I am trying to track down and purchase a surviving set of the original 1969 Heinz Moon Landing promotional photo prints. These were a mail-away premium offered in the UK around the time of the Apollo 11 mission, obtained by sending off a set number of tinned Heinz Bean can wrappers.I sent for and received a set at the time which became one of my prized possessions, these were sadly stolen from me at Junior school when I was a very young boy when I took them in to show my classmates. Now at age 65 and a lifelong space fan (I have all the newspapers from the time, Buzz Aldrin’s signature, and a small piece of the actual Apollo 11!) I am highly motivated to replace my childhood set. If you have a set stored away in a binder, folder, collection or archive that you would be willing to part with, or some great replacements please send me a direct message with your price and photos. What I am looking for: - Type: The authentic, high-definition glossy colour photographic prints distributed by Heinz in the late 1960s (NOT modern graphic art or illustrated poster reproductions).
- Content: The set included the official NASA high-gloss photos, including the iconic Saturn V rocket liftoff from Complex 39A and the Apollo Earthrise image.
- Condition: Looking for original period prints. Minor edge wear or age is fine if the glossy photographic images are intact.
- Alternatively: A set of High-Res images if not or the newspaper advert
Thank you so much. | |
