I agree with Chet on this one - Everything is right with this Armstrong and the six word personalization gives even more credibility to the autograph and provides handwriting from Armstrong to also analyze. This is a fine example of a personalized Armstrong autograph that has everything going for it. The seller, "Apollonaut" from Germany has over 700 positives & 400 from unique uses with no negatives, but it is a private auction which can raise some suspicions. The seller even gives some information about the autograph, stating that it is obviously a late Armstrong signature, which it certainly appears to be. But the personalization, which matches perfectly with Armstrong's handwriting style, is a strong determining factor, IMO, that this eBay offering is legit. It is rare to see a well-done fake Armstrong personalization, as the forgers rarely attempt personalizations and often do them poorly. One such attempt that many remember, "To DAVID - ," was a failed attempt that accompanied a very questionable Armstrong signature. Bob Mc. | |
