This is from a brown Nomex cargo transfer bag with a clear window on one side. I am trying to decipher the REM code 'SLC-SC-MDOO2-STR-T120" and if this was flown.

I am guessing it was removed from the Spacelab MD002 pallet, but don't know what mission, if there is one.

It wouldn't be from a pallet since those bags are used inside.

REM is the removal procedure. "SLC-SC-MD002-STR-T120" — I believe I can partially decode it:

  • SL - Spacelab
  • MD002 - Module SN #2
  • STR - Structures
  • T120 - assigned procedure sequential number
The last Spacelab module missions was Neurolab on STS-90 in April 1998 and it used serial #2 module. The date of the tag 5-20-1998 would align with a feasible timeframe to remove hardware from the module post flight.

All times are CT (US)
