I enjoyed the article on meMIRabilia very much. As most of you know, I live in Australia. I just wanted to say if a piece of the station lands in my backyard, my good friends at collectSPACE will get first crack at getting a piece of it. Wish me luck! |

Just remember to duck for cover! Try and save us some of the mutant space fungus for the Fox TV Network I'm sure they will do a special on it. |

Amazing to see how some sellers already offer pieces of the MIR space station... 90% of the station must have sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Why the hell would any serious collector want a piece of the MIR Space Station? They should better spend the money on a good book or any other item on Russian space-history! |

Because, Phillip, it is a piece of history. Most of us here at collectSPACE are serious collectors... and we jumped for a screw from LB7, a fragment of Skylab or STS-1, a piece of the 'couch' in A-13... payload bay liner, etc.Sure... its nothing but junk metal. CNN describes it all as worthless... But I and I'm sure most here will disagree. |

I enjoyed the recent update to "meMIRabilia". I like the fact that these folks listed these pieces just minutes after they hit the water. Geez, they would still be sizzling at that point! I like the guy in Indiana who listed a bolt he found in his drive way and the reasoning he used for thinking it was from MIR. What a dope! |

Hmmmm...I found some trash in my garage, it MUST have come from MIR after bouncing on my driveway!! I wonder if those ashes in my BBQ grill are burnt remains of it too?! As I look down the alley I see bits of trash here & there...surely these are MIR debris.Let the bidding begin!!! |

Lighten up a bit...That one of duct tape and wire was pretty clever, and obviously a joke (just look at that kid's other listings). I'm sure the bolt from the driveway was also listed with a sense of humor. (I realize others, however, were more serious attempts to separate fools from their money - but anyone who would buy them deserves what they get.) |
