However, I also found examples of standard souvenir versions with the two under-nose red dots, but not all of them. Purely speculation on my part, but it may be possible to use the location of the "dots" (anchor threads) to put a window around the time of manufacture for the various runs of the patches. It would have to be validated with those in original packaging.
