Regency-Superior Auctions, the country's leading auctioneer of Space Memorabilia, is coming to Cape Canaveral for a one-day space memorabilia appraisal clinic on Thursday, November 6th at the Radisson at the Port. Two weeks later, a two-day clinic will be conducted in the Chicago area on Friday & Saturday, November 21-22nd. This clinic will take place within a stamp show (free of charge) at the Sheraton Chicago Northwest hotel in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Meet our Senior Vice President, Alan Lipkin, to discuss the consignment or outright purchase of your memorabilia. No appointment necessary, though it would be useful to have an idea of attendance beforehand, so please call Alan at our Beverly Hills office at: (310) 203-8766 or email at: alipkin@regencysuperior.com to let him know you are coming. Types of material appraised include (but not limited to): autographs, documents, contractor models, photographs, awards, correspondence. Stamps, commemorative envelopes (covers), items carried aboard space missions, etc. Each auction includes items from Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, ASTP, Shuttle, ISS, American, Soviet/Russian, and Chinese space programs. Also needed for auction is Balloon, Aviation & Rocketry related material from the early 20th Century (or even before). Large holdings & estates can be viewed before or after the clinic, please arrange in advance. Regency-Superior conducts two major Space Memorabilia auctions each year at their Beverly Hills gallery. Their experience is second to none, and is well known throughout the world for their auctions of stamps & coins, sports, Hollywood, and space memorabilia. Their auctions realize some of the top values in the industry, selling to collectors from the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Each of their sales is simulcast on eBay live, allowing collectors to bid on items prior to, and during the public auction itself. Space memorabilia is in high demand. Past auctions have brought incredible prices particularly for items that were flown in space, and for those that were aboard lunar landings. Recently, a 1969 flown to the Moon beta cloth patch, signed by the crew sold for $25,740 including the 17% buyer's premium. A complete set of flown Fliteline medallions originally from the Cernan family, sold for $8,775 including the premium in their October sale. And, a unique 1969 flown LM lunar surface checklist with handwritten notes by Buzz Aldrin sold for $23,400.
