I am thinking of getting some early space mission news reels put on DVD or the web. Let me know if you are interested. If you want to help out and get a copy when they are done, I will add you to the list.So far I think I have Apollo 11, some ASTP, Gemini 7/6, Gemini 11 and maybe some more, I do not know, made by Movie NewsReels, Hollywood. |

If you could put those on the web that would be great.Unfortunately I wont be able to help financially because I am already working on several (too many) projects of my own, some related to NASA footage too. |

This will cost over $400 to do, so I will probably not make it public. Maybe I should do a Kickstarter campaign. |

Does anyone have a 8 millimeter projector that can view the reels before I spend the money to get them downloaded? |

I'm overseas, so unlikely to be able to help. But I have a machine that scans 8mm film directly to computer, and I hope that is the method you will go for.So many companies simply video the images from a projector screen. A film scanner will give a better image by far, preserving each frame as a computer file. (You may know all this, but thought I'd make the point.) |
