The campaign was funded (and then some) on Tuesday (Nov. 28), four days before it is set to close. As such, John Chakeres has offered a stretch goal: If we reach a goal of $18,000, I will give everyone a mission patch. Those of you, who pledged for the patch, will get two. |

The image we be 7 3/8"x9" signed on the front and printed on an 8 1/2"x11" sheet of Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk 310gsm Baryta paper. The image is below. Thank you again for all your support. |

John Chakeres has sent out an update to his backers, which reads in part: Since the first of the year, I have been working with the publisher on promotion and distribution plans for the book. I also had my first meeting with the book designer and provided them with an initial selection of images for the book. We also discussed some ideas for the book and what all should be included. So, I've been going through some of my memorabilia for possible inclusion in the book. I'm excited to see what the designer comes up with. Hopefully we'll see some preliminary designs before the end of the month. If all goes as planned, we should be going to press in May or June and have books by the end of the summer. |

A friend of mine says he put in for one from the initial order but hasn't seen his yet.Amazon lists it being in stock, but you can't count on that all the time to be correct. |

I have seen a few posts on Facebook sharing photos of books in hand, though I have yet to receive my own copy. Chakeres is holding a book signing tomorrow (Nov. 28) at the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida, where an exhibit of his, Roland Miller's and Michael Soluri's space shuttle photography is on display through Feb. 2, 2019. |

I was a Kickstarter backer, and I received my copy just prior to Thanksgiving. It's a beautiful book that brings back a lot of memories of the early days of the shuttle when it seemed like anything was possible. It's also a great companion to Last Launch. |

I was a Kickstarter backer. There's been absolutely no word on mine, not impressed.I see that for $50, I could have got it from Amazon back in October. For $250, a year earlier, nothing at all. Now reduced to $32. Should I order it so at least I have a copy? This is the fourth space related Kickstarter I've had some kind of issue with. Guess I'm a slow learner, but that's it thanks. |

I received my Kickstarter ordered copies last month and I've seen a number of other similar reports on Facebook. I would suggest reaching out to John Chakeres via his website. |

I was becoming one of those also worrying about status, but I finally got my copy right before Xmas. There was also a note attached stating that any additional "bonus" Kickstarter items one may be eligible for will also be sent at a later date. I am one of those people and can confirm I am still waiting (patiently) for the additional items. |
