In October, I went to the local book fair not expecting to find anything in general. I ended up with the book "Always Another Dawn: The Story of a Rocket Test Pilot" by Scott Crossfield with Clay Blair. I am currently reading this book and enjoying reading about Scott Crossfield's life in the military and at NACA. A very good book to read. The neatest thing is that this book came with newspaper articles about Crossfield and the X-15 and the lady at the book sale also showed me that Scott Crossfield autographed the book! I am very happy to obtain this book for my collection. Not bad for thinking I wouldn't find anything at the book sale? |

Congrats on finding a signed copy of AAD! At age 56 it is still one of the best books on the X-15! |

I just finished reading the Kindle version of this book. If you have any interest in the rocket plane portion of the beginnings of manned space exploration, I highly recommend it. What an exciting time! |

It is a great read. Acquired a copy that Crossfield inscribed to Raun Robinson "To Raun Robinson whose blood sweat and tears wrote much of this tale." Raun Robinson, a North American Aviation engineer, is mentioned in the first paragraph of Chapter 26 and is shown in one of the photos. |

Purchased my copy in a secondhand bookstore in San Francisco in the mid-1980s for $2.50. When I got back to my hotel room I found that it was signed inside by Scott. Still have it (of course). |

Not sure what edition you purchased, Mel, but mine has an amazing 62 insert pages of glossy photos covering his entire life up to that time and of course the X-15. |

I purchased a soft cover instead of a much more expensive hard cover. I just noticed it was printed in 2018. |
