In October, I went to the local book fair not expecting to find anything in general. I ended up with the book "Always Another Dawn: The Story of a Rocket Test Pilot" by Scott Crossfield with Clay Blair. I am currently reading this book and enjoying reading about Scott Crossfield's life in the military and at NACA. A very good book to read.

The neatest thing is that this book came with newspaper articles about Crossfield and the X-15 and the lady at the book sale also showed me that Scott Crossfield autographed the book! I am very happy to obtain this book for my collection. Not bad for thinking I wouldn't find anything at the book sale?

Congrats on finding a signed copy of AAD! At age 56 it is still one of the best books on the X-15!

I just finished reading the Kindle version of this book. If you have any interest in the rocket plane portion of the beginnings of manned space exploration, I highly recommend it. What an exciting time!

It is a great read. Acquired a copy that Crossfield inscribed to Raun Robinson "To Raun Robinson whose blood sweat and tears wrote much of this tale."

Raun Robinson, a North American Aviation engineer, is mentioned in the first paragraph of Chapter 26 and is shown in one of the photos.

Purchased my copy in a secondhand bookstore in San Francisco in the mid-1980s for $2.50. When I got back to my hotel room I found that it was signed inside by Scott. Still have it (of course).

Not sure what edition you purchased, Mel, but mine has an amazing 62 insert pages of glossy photos covering his entire life up to that time and of course the X-15.

I purchased a soft cover instead of a much more expensive hard cover. I just noticed it was printed in 2018.
