Haynes Owners' Workshop Manual: US Spy Satellites, 1959 Onwards by David Baker The book also has potential for use as a news media reference guide to spy satellites, their capabilities and how they work. The field is much misunderstood and this book could be strongly marketed as unveiling highly detailed text, detailed cutaways and drawings and providing a single one-stop-shop to space-based spy-school! A veritable "Spooks in Space" guide to all there is to know about spy satellites. - Hardcover: 208 pages
- Haynes Publishing UK (October 1, 2016)
- ISBN-10: 1785210866
- ISBN-13: 978-1785210860

Looks like the project proposal text was used as the book description without changing it. |

I just got a notice saying they could not provide an accurate ship date and to confirm I still want it. Weird.

Nothing is really weird. Sometimes when you pre-order a book well in advance, delays pop up and Amazon.com just want a confirmation that you still want it. I got the same email (in some cases I had orders cancelled right out because Amazon couldn't give a delivery date). As for this book, the new date is Dec. 1, 2016 in the US. The book is available in the UK. The UK always get the Haynes books first — maybe here's the reason why there's a delay — the book has to cross the Atlantic! |

That was what I was thinking at first, that the UK would get them first, but then I saw jjknap was in Illinois getting a shipping notice. That was what I thought was weird. I wonder if it just has to do with the Amazon distribution centers? I had the same experience with the Saturn V Haynes as well. I am sure it will be worth the wait. |

I saw a copy of the book for sale in a shop in Birmingham (UK) last Tuesday (18 Sept), so it is certainly available already on this side of the pond. |

It happened to me too, they took it upon themselves to cancel it, I twice tried reinstating it, before just giving up myself... |
