I've been a lurker for awhile, and it's time to repay my free-loading!

I designed a custom Moon Missions calendar that I would like to share with all of you here on collectSPACE. It shows all the NASA missions (Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo) in a unique time-line approach. It includes EVAs and other parts of each flight. It's best to see what I mean, so I invite you to see the July page:

If you like what you see, the entire calendar can be downloaded FREE here (link updated, see below).

You're free to use as-is (PDF file) or take the file to your local print shop and print up a real copy (11x17).

I'd love some feedback on errors (as writer and editor, things slip through!) and any suggestions on what to add for next year. I'm hoping to offer the 2016 edition for sale late next year.

Just my opinion, but I think it's a great way to visualize our achievement in space.

Thanks - I should've included the word free in the title...

I'll post a longer piece later about the genesis of the calendar later today.

I like it a lot! Great work! It's very simple and not cluttered. I like the moon phases and important space events for each program.

What an outstanding job done on the calendar. Thank you for making it available for free. As for comments, the only thing I can offer is that the photo used for the Friendship 7 launch on page one is not correct. The launch tower lacks the lowerable walkway that drops down by the hatch. The missing walkway indicates an unmanned launch.

Thanks for the heads-up. Already found a properly tagged photo and will swap out the photo for next year.

Here's the story on the calendar:

Kept missing important milestones in the history of our moon program, so I decided to make a calendar to keep me up-to-date. The first one (2014) had just the flights (with minimal detail) and each month featured the patches the crews came up with. Printed up a few for Christmas presents. Was able to send a couple to actual moon walkers.

Over the summer, decided to expand the details and drop the patches for photos. Wanted to know exactly WHEN all these events took place (moon EVAs, etc). Using the Apollo GETs, was able to add important times to the flight data. Then added the Gemini EVA data from "On The Shoulders Of Titans."

Unfortunately, couldn't swing printing for this years edition (yet), but wanted to get it out for other like-minded space nuts to enjoy.

So, grab a copy (if you want) and even send the PDF to your friends who might not visit here. Hopefully, I'll be able to actually market this calendar next year. If so, I'll see if I can come up with a discount for those of you who were kind enough to download a copy this year.

Thanks for your time...

Thanks to a couple of keen-eyed folks, I've uploaded an updated version of the 2015 Moon Missions calendar. The photo used for the cover (MA-6, Glenn) was wrong and I had inadvertently moved Buzz' birthday and forgot to move it back to the 20th - so sorry, Buzz!

Unfortunately, Mega can't let you 'slipstream' a file, so the new file has a new link.

Thanks for your interest in this. It was a work of dedication to the accomplishments we achieved and (despite the occasional sloppy errors) I hope you find the effort useful.

Another minor update, another Mega link.

Also, posted a short comment on this on the io9 blog. Thanks for your interest.
