The voice will be that of a professional talent. I offered to do it but was politely refused. Understandably! |

I've received the first wave of "audio proofs" to review for the audiobook, and have started going through them.Rather surreal to hear someone else read my sentences, my paragraphs, my silly little word riffs that I try to do. The gentleman reading this audiobook is Michael Burnette, and I'm privileged to be working with talent of his caliber. |

Long before the helicopter on Mars, there was the balloon on Venus. With Ingenuity as a news hook, Air & Space Magazine has posted an excerpt from Infinity Beckoned. |

Well brought up. It didn't take off from the surface of Venus, it didn't land (it crashed), and it wasn't capable of multiple flights. I don't think it detracts from the Ingenuity team's achievements. The Venus balloon was something different. |

As anyone who has heard Jay Gallentine give his amazing talks at such gatherings as Spacefest, the above link by Emily offers a fascinating reveal by Jay on how he was initially recruited through a post on collectSPACE to write his first book in the Outward Odyssey series. He then gives a great and often hilarious insight into researching his three books — one yet to be completed — and how it felt to be sued (unsuccessfully) over what he uncovered and revealed in the first book. It really is a terrific interview, and one I urge you to listen to and enjoy. |
