I don't know John Sims personally but he claimed to have made some figurines for Alan. I guess he was talking about different figurines if you know something I don't.

There are several modelers out there that have done stuff for Al, so John Sims could be one such person. Al's been doing painting for a long time and typically likes 3D references to see how the light and shadow play off of them. As such, when he does something new, he has been known to have a new model done for his research.
