Does anyone else think a book written about, or preferably by, Jim McDivitt would be a great item for the ol' bookshelf? With his two career spaceflights and all of the behind-the-scenes "insider" experiences he's had at NASA, just imagine the "I was there!" angle he would bring to many legendary events.Notwithstanding, the book tour! Opinions? Best, Bruce |

It would have to be an unauthorised biography, I'm afraid. McDivitt told me he was not even interested in reading other astronaut biographies, let alone writing or contributing to his own. Those who know him will also realise he won't discuss the personalities of other astronauts on the record - particularly those who are no longer with us. |

McDivitt did an outstanding NASA Oral History, which can be found online, and may be the "next best thing," or nearest we ever get...FF | |
