I havent had a chance to read Aldrin's new book The Return and was wondering if it was any good. I always like to hear your opinions about books, they are usually pretty accurate with how I come out feeling about it.

"The Return," I suspect suffers from too much Barnes and not enough Aldrin. The scientific writing in the book is minimal and the quality of the story suffers on a number of levels. If you even have a remote problem with "Space Cowboys," the ending of "The Return" will drive you nuts.
The book is one that has to be in the collection, but I would rank this one as the weakest of the books Col. Aldrin has written.
