I want to get STS-125 crew members autographs on a launch cover I have and would like to know how, if even possible, to get multiple signings on it if I mail to JSC. Which astronaut on this crew may be the best chance at getting more signers? Has anyone been lucky enough to get multiple signings from one crew through mailing to JSC?

With the exception of John Grunsfeld, the STS-125 crew are all good signers through the mail. Michael Good is back in training so he may not respond for some time. As far as getting the entire crew to sign your cover with the help of one astronaut probably comes down to being lucky and good timing.

Thanks for the heads up on the 125 crew. I originally got the cover to mail to Megan McArthur anyway. I'm just going to do that and see what happens. I'll probabaly wait 2 years to get it back if I ask to get a crew signing! Probably too much to ask anyway.

The STS-125 crew was good about signing at Family Day at Udvar-Hazy, although I missed Scott Altman's and Mike Good's impromptu signing and Greg Johnson (Ray J) signed on the fly.

Cool poster and cool that you were able to get four of the seven STS-125 crew members to sign it in person. But too bad that Altman, Good and Johnson were elusive. Hopefully, you'll get more opportunities with them in the future.

Thanks! - but I got it printed as an 8x10. Johnson I did not see. Good I did, but we were walking in opposite directions. And Good and Altman later held impromptu signings, which is why I missed them.

Altman had pre-signed lithos, and was also signing for guests tonight (May 25) at the Space Congress' Astronaut Social. Also took time to talk for a few moments with people and pose for photos.

As a coincidence, I had a through-the-mail reply from Scott Altman in the mail. Has been out for quite a while.

Greg C. Johnson was great about signing yesterday at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York. Long line of people to get autographs from him.

(And not a lot of people, by comparison, asking for Mike Massimino's signature; I'm wondering if that was because the event had the spotlight more on Ray J than Mass.)

It's been a while since I've done through the mail requests that I don't know when I sent out a photo to Massimino at Columbia University, most likely late 2016 (since I had an opportunity to meet him in-person in May 2017.) But I got it back on 24 August 2018 (postmarked 22 August).

Does anybody know if Mike Massimino and Scott Altman respond through the mail these days?

Scott Altman is very good through the mail from his office address. Massimino takes his time and is sporadic.

All times are CT (US)
