Although I've wriiten to Karen Nyberg twice in the last 15 months I unfortunately have not received a reply. Perhaps I used the incorrect address? I sent my requests to the Astronaut Office in Houston. |

Anna Lee Fisher is great about signing. In my book, however, she would however, only sign with her one mission, 51A, and not 61H since the latter never flew (which was fine with me.) |

Anna Lee Fisher signed several 61H photos for me. She did not put the mission on there but she commented on the photos. |

Has anyone had any recent success with Tamara Jernigan, Sandra Magnus, Pam Melroy, or Kay Hire? Recent fast reply success from Mary Cleave, Wendy Lawrence, and Jan Davis. |

Melroy replies fairly fast from her current business address. No go for Tammy Jernigan or Kay Hire. Does your second phrase mean you had fast reply successes from these ladies? |

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation has two lovely Reddon-signed 8x10's for sale. I just bought one for $40 plus p&p and it's obviously for a great cause. |

Kathy Thornton is very wonderful and so is Rhea Seddon about singing and photos. Wouldn't know about any of the others. Looking into the Sallly Rize 20 donation deal right now. That seems very reasonable. |

Does anyone have experience with sending letters to the following: - Suni Williams
- Nicole Stott
- Susan Helms
- Cady Coleman
If so, I'd love to hear about it. Also, for astronauts that currently are employed by NASA, what is the best way to get in contact with them? The address I found was as follows: NASA-JSC Astronaut Office Mail Code CB 2101 NASA Road 1 Houston, Texas 77058-3696 Correct? Thanks in advance! |

- Sunita Williams: only autopen through the mail.
- Nicole Stott: sometimes authentic, sometimes AP - make an effort in your letter!
- Susan Helms - sporadic in her previous positions, very fine since working at Vandenberg AFB
- Cady Coleman — no go through the mail and nothing sent back ever — but tremendous and heartwarming in person.
Hope this helps. |

Thank you for letting me know! I sent a letter out to Helms last month. It wasn't asking for an autograph or anything, just expressing my appreciation for her work. I ended up sending it to the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation because I didn't really know where do go with it.Where do you suggest sending things to Stott and Williams? |

I cannot answer your implicit question, as collectSPACE does not allow publications of addresses here. But there are people who are selling pretty good address lists out here... |

Anyone know if Rhea Seddon reads/responds to her mail? I breifly talked to her at the end of the gala, but didnt get to say a thing important. I asked her about a professor we both know because I got so nervous! Anyway, I was hoping to send her something more substantive. Also, where do you send mail to retired astronauts? |

Got my photo back from Janet Kavandi through JSC, about three weeks. Interestingly, she returned the photo by mailing it back in the SASE I sent - whereas Pat Forrester returned the photo I sent him in the usual brown NASA envelope, keeping the SASE.(And while I'm on it, the envelope I got back from Forrester had my name and address typed on what looked like a clear mailing label, not something cut from my SASE. Is someone keeping track of requests or did someone think this was "easier"?) |

When mailing requests to astronauts at JSC, is it protocol to not send SASE or would it be the right thing to do? When I did this alot back in the '90s I never sent SASE and never heard that I should. It was always shipped back in the standard brown envelope. I'm planning to send more requests with my own 8x10's to insure authentic signatures and I'm not sure what to do. I always took for granted it was SOP for NASA to use their envelopes. |
